The person behind the programmes
Senior IT Leadership and Transformation Consultant, with the curiosity to stay ahead and the experience to deliver.
My Story
I have been working at the intersection of technology and business for over twenty years, and the thing that has never changed is what drew me in to begin with: the moment when a complex, messy problem suddenly has a clear, elegant solution.
My career has taken me from managing IT infrastructure for a global engineering firm across twelve countries, to delivering innovation programmes for Hyatt Hotels Corporation out of their Chicago head office, to overseeing digital transformation at some of the UK's most recognisable organisations. Along the way I have worked with FTSE 100 / 250, Fortune 500 companies, mid-market businesses, and everything in between.
What makes my approach different is a genuine affinity for business process. Where others see systems, I see workflows, data flows, and integration points. I can walk into an organisation, quickly identify where the sticking points are, map the existing technology landscape, and find synergies that others miss before recommending the most effective and cost-efficient path forward.
I am systems-agnostic, having worked across core infrastructure, hotel management systems, point of sale and payment platforms, healthcare and CRM systems, ERP and finance systems, document and contract lifecycle tools, mobile applications, and most recently AI agents and copilots. The technology changes. The discipline of delivery does not.
I set up Digital World Consulting to bring that depth of experience directly to organisations that need it, without the overhead of a large consultancy and with the personal accountability that only a principal consultant can offer.

How I Work
A few principles that shape every engagement, regardless of sector or scale.
Process before technology
I always start with the business process, not the tool. The right technology choice follows from a clear understanding of what the organisation actually needs.
Honest over comfortable
I will tell you what I think, not what you want to hear. That directness is what gets programmes back on track when they are drifting.
Data with purpose
Good data capture, quality, and governance has been central to my work since the early 2000s. I care deeply about getting the right information to the right person or system at the right time.
People make it work
Technology is only ever as good as the people using it. Change management, stakeholder engagement, and team development are as important to me as the technical solution.
Outside of Work
The things that keep me curious, grounded, and genuinely good company.
AI and Automation
I build my own AI agents at home to explore autonomous agentic workflows and stay current with the latest models and developments. What starts as curiosity usually ends up informing client work.
Keeping Fit
These days mostly focused on lifting heavy. I can snowboard and ski when the opportunity arises, and staying physically active keeps me sharp mentally too.
Music
Broad taste is an understatement. I genuinely enjoy everything from Megadeth to Mozart, though these days I tend to lean towards dance, drum and bass, and punk.
Travel
I have a long list of places to visit across the globe and I am gradually working through it. Travel sharpens perspective, which is no bad thing in my line of work.
Giving Back
I was a foster carer for nearly ten years, starting as one of the youngest foster carers in my county. I also served as treasurer of my local Foster Care Association, organising events for foster families across the area.
